Resident cancer cells
RESIDENT CANCER CELLS VS IMMIGRANT ERYTHROID CELLS, WHICH OF THEM ARE THE MAIN PROTAGONISTS OF APOPTOTIC-LIKE EVENTS?
Figure legend. Human carcinoma. In the left upper corner is a large cancer cell in apoptosis. The rest of the field consists of enucleated and degenerating nucleated red cells in tumor capillaries. Enucleating erythroblasts gives rise to near naked nuclei (Nanus) of compacted chromatin (Oncotropic stem cells) and acidophilic bodies (Erythroid plastids). Apoptoic nuclear segmentation is present in erythroid cells. (HE.oi.10x100).
